Urine therapy interview with Dr. Ryoichi Nakao

Watch on YouTube

The MCL Institute's own interview with Dr. Ryoichi Nakao, in which he explains his research and his view of how urine therapy works.

What this video covers

A 50-minute interview with Dr. Ryoichi Nakao, made for the tenth anniversary of the MCL Institute in Japan. He tells how he first heard about urine therapy as a small boy, when his kindergarten teacher told him urine was not dirty and could help with any illness, and how he came back to it as a doctor in 1937 when a young patient with an illness nothing had cured improved after one glass. He describes testing it on soldiers under his command in Burma during the war, when medicines ran out. He says urine is not a medicine but an information source, carrying the body's own information about what is wrong, and that what matters is it passing through the throat: given by tube into the stomach for a month it produced no effect, while drinking it brought results within a week. He talks about the tonsils and the throat as the place where the body judges illness, about interferon and cytokines as part of the body's self-healing response, and about his view that medicine mostly suppresses symptoms while the body repairs itself. He also describes the school that teaches children urine is not dirty, and says he still travels and lectures in his nineties on a small daily amount.
