Dr. Edward Group presents what he calls the top 12 uses of urine therapy, holding up Martha Christy's Your Own Perfect Medicine, the first book he read on it 25 years ago. He says he has drunk about half a gallon a day for four months and that urine contains antibodies, hormones, stem cells and urokinase, which he says is used as a clot-dissolving drug. His list: drinking first-morning midstream urine, starting from one drop under the tongue or about 3 ounces; massaging it into skin, scalp and sore joints; enemas of about 9 ounces two to three hours before bed, which he says help digestion and sleep; eye drops, which he says are improving his eyesight; ear drops; drops in the belly button, which he says help with appetite, digestion and stress; swishing it in the mouth, which he credits with his gums growing back 1 mm; sniffing it or spraying it from a cleaned nasal bottle; 30-minute foot soaks, including for toenail fungus and cracked heels; full-body baths; nebulizing or diffusing it for the lungs and sinuses; and evolved urine kept in a cloth-covered Mason jar on a windowsill for at least nine days, which he prefers for eczema, psoriasis, wounds, burns and hair loss. He tells how his hair-regrowth video 20 years ago was mocked until viewers wrote in that their hair was growing back. He describes a sprained ankle he says he walked on within three days and back pain gone within ten minutes. He says people bitten by a black mamba have survived by drinking their urine and putting a urine compress on the bite, and that a cotton ball soaked in urine on a bee, wasp, spider or jellyfish sting takes the pain away and neutralizes the venom. He tells of a woman who had nearly died from bee stings twice; when stung again, a healer told her to drink her urine and put it on the sting, and he says she had no reaction at all. He adds that if you cannot urinate, someone else's urine can be used. He warns of detox reactions such as skin rashes in the first weeks, says injections need a practitioner, and states that nothing he says is meant to treat, cure or diagnose disease.
