Dr. Edward Group interviews Steven Williams, the Australian director of the award-winning documentary Urine-Aid. Williams describes how he came to make the film, attending the World Conference on urine therapy in Mexico and travelling to the USA, Germany, India, Japan and Egypt, and says he found ordinary people who turned to urine therapy after medicine had failed them. He drinks a glass of morning urine daily and does short urine fasts once or twice a year, and says he has done so while taking the blood thinner warfarin after heart surgery. He recounts the stories of people featured in his research: Joy, who he says lost the pain and stiffness of severe rheumatoid arthritis; Christina in Mexico, who he says was told she had terminal bowel cancer and was later found cancer-free after months of urine fasting; and a Japanese woman with AIDS who, according to her doctor, recovered over a year and a half. He also mentions German doctors using urine for menopausal symptoms and Dr. Nakao's theory of a sensitive spot on the roof of the mouth. Williams cautions against going too hard too fast, questions the trend of drinking aged urine, and asks the community to talk honestly about side effects as well as successes. Dr. Group describes using urine soaks on a badly sprained ankle and a doctor's report of a migraine and fibromyalgia pain easing after a small injection.
