What this video covers
Dr. Pestova says it took her a full year to get used to the idea of using her own urine, because she was taught it was a waste product. She researched it and used herself as a guinea pig, reasoning that if urine contains stem cells, they might regenerate the body and make someone in their 40s or 50s look younger. She says she tested it on her face, and suggests being discreet by keeping it in a small spray bottle rather than a large jar. Jonathan Otto then says a 2022 Wake Forest University study, funded by an NIH grant, looked at 10 healthy adult men and found about 140 stem cells on average in a full 24-hour urine sample; after the sample aged three weeks, he says, the cells multiplied to about 100 million, replicated 10 times. He says 75 percent of the stem cells in the 20 to 40 age group were telomerase positive, and 59.2 percent in the 50-and-up group, and compares this to umbilical cord blood stem cells, which he says cost around 0,000 for 100 million. He concludes that aged urine has more stem cells, and says babies in the womb urinate from around eight weeks, drink up to a liter a day, and that this swallowed urine helps form their lungs.
